Korres Lip Butter Mango

I heard some good things about these so I thought I'd pick one up to try.

This doesn't smell anything like mangoes.  The smell, it is very strong and lingers. The pigmentation is strong if you use a lot on the lips (need to use a lot or lips will be too sticky).  The texture applies buttery but it doesn't feel moisturizing at all, it feels kind of sticky to be honest.  I need to wash my hands after using this with my finger.  I would say that this is a pot of sticky lip gloss than a balm like product.  It's not a terrible product, it's just too expensive for what it is and it doesn't smell like mangoes!

Chikuhodo brushes

Chikuhodo Z-9 Powder



Another powder brush...I know right, why do I need another?  Honestly I don't need another but I just couldn't resist.  Brushes don't expire so it's ok :P

I purchased this brush because delicatehummingbird said it was amazing.  It is amazing.  Most of the hair strands in this brush are tapered, I can barely find hairs that have blunt tips and the hairs feel extremely silky like newborn baby hair (but not as thin).  Well to be honest the hair quality is superior to RMK, Lunasol and the SUQQU eyeshadow brushes I have.

The hair quality on this brush are really healthy, silky and feel amazing on my skin.  This brush is similar to the Burberry one that I love a lot, it's just longer and has a pointy tip.

I think I won't be buying anymore brushes are a while.  I don't have anymore brushes on my wishlist.

I purchased these brushes via now-eproject. They only sell Chikuhodo products.  The shipping fee was $35, tracking was provided and it arrived within 2 weeks.  I think they have world wide shipping.  They package the goods extremely well.

Overall, I would recommend the Z series for luxury brush collectors.  I wasn't disappointed at all and maybe in the future I will consider purchasing more brushes from this series but for now I have enough brushes for my makeup routine.

I think the packaging is nice and practical.

I think it looks a bit too neon warm pink on me in person.  It smells a like candy (nerds or some bubble gum) but it doesn't have a noticeable taste.  I won't recommend this for people with dry lips.  For smooth application I highly recommend using a lip scrub and lip balm before hand.

Maybe one day I'll try a different color but I can't get past the candy scent and I have way too many lip products to try/ use up.

In person they look very similar.  I would say one is warm and one is cool tone.
EX-11 is a purple, it's not the red kind, it's on the blue side.  EX-13 version is blue grey.
I think EX-13 is smoother and prettier on my skin tone and the duochrome actually shows up better.

I just got these and I thought I'd post some photos of them even though I'm not very happy with these pictures.  They are very pretty in person. 

I have to say that keely_JI's photos are very accurate and the swatches do correspond to what I see in person now that I have these palettes.  The official photos on the SUQQU website are good enough for me to say they are not misleading.

EX-12 Hisuidama does look like EX-08 Hanamari but since I don't have both I can't really say they are not the same.
I think the brown color is not warm/yellow tone and it has a duochrome sheen like the other palettes in this release. To me it really looks like this photo that I took in natural light.



I hope this is helpful for anyone ordering without seeing these in person.

If you want the duochrome to be very strong, use epoxy.  I couldn't tell the difference between the bottom left shades when I used epoxy.  The smoothest shade is the top right.

Addiction By Ayako - Lipstick and Lip Crayon in Day Trip

Day Trip lipstick looks amazing on Kate.  

On me... well another story.  
It's like a translucent gel (in look not feeling) that makes my lips look fuller in a no makeup kind of way.  I like the formula, it's almost like a suqqu lipstick but it feels heavier.

The Day Trip lip crayon, as you can see it is completely different.  It's matte, it doesn't feel drying but it looks like it is drying (hello lip lines).  This formula applies really well, it glides on smoothly and then it sets.  I think it would be good as a base.  I have been using it like lip liner and the lipstick I apply after lasts a lot longer.

Suqqu Blend Color Eye Shadow Palette EX-14 RURIDAMA 瑠璃珠

I ordered this as it was released.

The colors remind me of an artist that I really admired years ago.

I think the promotional picture is quite close to the actual product.  The dark blue/purple shade is difficult to photograph without a macro lens.  I can't capture the magenta particles with my current camera :(


You can decide if you want to buy or skip (all pictures are taken in natural light)





As you can see in the swatch, the colors are not going to show up really well without some help.
I think the purples will work better over a base color.  The dark blue looks a lot better over black.

Just for reference:
The pastel pink is not the same as the one in EX-12.  This one is less shimmery and bluer in hue.  It has a very similar effect on my skin texture and coloring. (they look the same lol)

Rouge Bunny Rouge Web Boutique

I did a bit of a haul on Rouge Bunny Rouge's website.
Because they had a €10 off code if I liked their facebook page (valid until September 30th).

I'm also going to have to credit Bellyhead for this haul because those eyeshadows look so nice in her skin swatches.
I've always wanted to get Periwinkle Cardinal coz it looked amazing on Delicate hummingbird and I miss her blogs posts.
In the Long-lasting Matt Eye Shadow Colour range I got:
Blackpepper Jay, Sweet Dust Seriema, Grey Go-away Lourie (left side of picture)
In the Long-lasting Eye Shadow Color range I got:

I kind of regret getting the refills because they are so small and only slightly cheaper.  I don't have any empty palettes to place them in either.  I haven't tried any of them but as usual these posts are for documenting my stash.

With the primer, I was hoping that it works on my eyelids then I can give up on my NARS pro prime.  They cost about the same to me anyway.  

I didn't get Solstice Halcyon because I think it would be too close to Burberry Rosewood (according to some swatches I saw online) and I don't like rosewood on me.  I'm sure I have a lifetime worth of taupes in those SUQQU palettes too :(

I was really happy about the service because it was very fast and no fuss.  If I ever need to buy more RBR products then I will purchase from their website again.

THREE flash performance eyeliner pencil

I heard great things about these pencils from Kate and Liz so I got some.
Their swatches are excellent btw.

It was difficult to photograph.

Once set they didn't smudge off my arm even when I was probably smearing it all over my desk while cropping the pictures.

Personally, I have always hated pencil eyeliners but this one has changed that.  I love this product because I can finally draw lines on my eyelids that are thin and pigmented and the line weight can be controlled without doing small strokes...just one stroke with a flick and it is perfect and there is no need to clean up for that sharp wing.  It is beautiful and applies like a dream.  Even though I say that my swatch is in pretty bad shape lol... but that's because my arm skin is really dry and on eyelids it is totally different.

Btw this shot was in the late afternoon next to a window so you can see the orange shade isn't really orange. 
I hope these photos help you while thinking about purchasing these things.
These are not limited edition or anything so don't rush to buy them unless you really like them.  

Each palette is 8g of product. They are well made, the packaging is nice and there is no messy powder when I unboxed them.  THREE is written in a different color on each palette btw.

Addiction Compact Case II

I decided I had too many Addiction singles so I wanted to arrange them nicely in a compact so I purchased 2 compacts to house them.

The cases are rather nice, big mirror and well made.  Well you'd hope so for 1575 yen lol (well actually I don't mind the price)

Compared to other SUQQU shades that look similar in pan form.
If one set wasn't brand new I would not be able to tell what is what in a freestyle palette..honestly.
For the green set, photoshop tells me that ex-12 is a desaturated yellow-green while ex-17 is a desaturated orange-yellow
I had a "huh?" moment when it showed up darker on my skin because the pan shade is so close.

EX-16 is ever so slight more pink and cooler when looking at it in person.

A more affordable high quality colorful option for the eyeshadows is the Shiseido Eye Color Bar palette rrp $50 USD.

Gambling with Lavshuca

Another adventure with buying makeup online :)

I wanted to try this eyeshadow because the promo pictures reminded me of SUQQU Komorebi palette.

can you see any of the colors?

They did apply better over nars primer on my arm but it doesn't work the same way on my eyes, I just ended up with heaps of fallout of random sparkles. I guess they are suppose to be foiled? Anyways I don't recommend this product.

I was tempted by the Lavshuca Candy Bonbon Lips as well. I got PK-5 Clear.

It is quite small with 1.7g of product.  Will we hit pan faster?
The formula is moisturizing, no shimmer, no scent or taste. The color looks horrible on me because it has a white base and it looks nothing like the advertised colour. Maybe good for mixing...or I'll gamble with a different shade later.

I didn't win anything with this range :(

I will miss the Lavshuca Dramatic Memory Rouge range, RD-1 lives in my handbag for now.

Some things I've purchased these ages ago and never really got around to posting about them.
Shiseido Luminizing Satin Eye Color VI720 Ghost

The white face colour and lipstick are not sold in the Australian market. Visiting the Shiseido counter at my local department store (David Jones & Myers) is depressing because of the empty slots for testers and the high mark up.

I really like the face colour, it's the perfect highlighter and it makes a great eyeshadow.  It makes my skin look smoother too.  I like applying it on top of my blush and as a wash over my eyelids before other eye shadows because it helps neutralize my eyelids to make other colors pop.

Ghost is an interesting shade, I think this shade doesn't work very well on my coloring when it is by itself.  It looks much better with high beam under it and suqqu 06 palette's grey and dark purple to line.

I was rather confused when I received the lipstick because it wasn't what I expected.  It looked really dull and less orange than some online pics. The actual product applies to a bright red orange on my lips.  I would wear it sheered out with gloss on top...preferably Lunasol gloss as that stuff plumps up my lips while the lipstick doesn't do anything but add color.  It lives in my neglect pile.

Shiseido Limited Edition Eye Color Palette 2013

I really wanted one when I saw the first Color Bar Palette picture (the one that was shared on makeup alley and pinterest.)  I used a CP service to purchase one as soon as it was available in USA because I have a feeling that Australia will never get it seeing how we don't even have the key products that are used in the ads they display here.

The front is quite bright. Neon bright.

It doesn't really look like the picture that made me obsess about the color bar.  The color bar turned out much duller, especially the red and green shades. The black is more of a charcoal grey to my eyes.  I ordered this on the release date and I didn't get it until 11/10/13. Between that time I did have some buyer's remorse without even seeing it in person because I kept seeing more reliable blogger pictures illustrating the fact that the palette is not as bright as I had hoped for.  I'm sure I'll still use it for fun when I have time for that.

Addiction By Ayako - Lip Crayon in Le Mépris

I've wanted this color for a while and finally purchased it after trying out the crayon in Day Trip color for quite some time. They feel the same on my lips but Le Mépris is more obvious if I applied unevenly.

The lipcrayon is very pigmented and quite neon in person, for some reason it doesn't look that way in some of these shots. Personally this color is very full on but my partner approves of this color so yay.  He didn't like that Shiseido Perfect Rouge OR544 Tiger lipstick at all lol.

KATE Colorcious Diamond BK-1

Trying out Kate eyeshadows for the first time. Picked it up for $17 on adambeauty.com while I was restocking my skincare.

I'm not going to swatch these. It doesn't look right on my arm skin but they apply perfectly fine on my eyes. They are not super pigmented but they are very smooth and easy to use.  I like the shine and soft definition from this palette which is great for a quick and easy day look.  I'm not sure if it can be used for a dramatic black smokey eye on it's own because of how soft it looks layered.  So far I like it.  Flattering colors and textures, doesn't require primer, non- irritating, minimum fall out and blends easily.  I might buy more shades in the future.

Pixi Endless Silky Pen Kit

The kit has Mini-sized Endless Silky Eye Pens in Black Noir, Deep Plum, Black Cocoa, Sage Gold, Oyster Glow and a sharpener.

The kit looked like a good deal, all very wearable colors and I have read that they are suppose to be THREE pencil dupes.

However, these Pixi are not dupes of THREE, at least on my skin and climate. Pixi pencils are smooth and pigmented but that is where any similar qualities with THREE pencils come to an end for me.  I sort of like Oyster Glow and Sage Gold but the other 3 didn't work out for me.  Deep Plum is drying.  Black Noir and Black Cocoa just melt and travel around.

While waiting for xmas sets to be available and I was hoping these would diminish my lust for them. Will the blue in 04 Love Satisfaction be enough to make me feel nothing for SUQQU Kit A?

I got them after seeing them featured on Kate's blog.
No regrets!

THREE Eyeshadow Duo in 03, 04 and 05.
They are really tiny at 3.3g

The light shades look a bit washed out in my photos. In person they have more depth and they have a magical glow. The duos are a little bit blinding to look at when they are in direct sunlight.
